The Subtitle Display method allows you to configure subtitle displays for images rendered by either the Media Player subsystem or Interactive application. The tool can discern between image and text-based subtitles and render the subtitle in the either format. This accommodates non-4K legacy media that is not packaged with text-based subtitles in the same Interactive application.

Text-based subtitles are the preferred method on NEXT and future monitors going forward. Text-based subtitles provide more flexibility around rendering subtitles, such as color, size and coordinates, and, additionally, serve to meet accessibility requirements.
